Subject	Got the bad news this morning, the Z is totaled

Message	I haven't heard back from the insurance company with their settlement amount (I'll call it the opening bid), but they did tell me it was totalled. The cost to repair is greater than 10K. I'd like some advice: 1. Anybody have experience/advice on how to negotiate a settlement, specifically on how to maximize the $$$'s. 2. Anybody buy the car back from the insurance company?
